Pastor: David Gifford
David came to Calvary as Pastor in August of 2002. For the previous ten years, he served as a Pastor in central Kentucky and a Staff Pastor in Garland, Texas. Pastor David prepared for ministry at The Criswell College in Dallas, Texas and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He and his wife Amy have been married for 31 years, and they have three wonderful children: Emily, Hudson, and Kaylee. David is passionate about preaching and teaching the Word of God, as well as, making and equipping disciples to serve through the ministry of the local church.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR:
FRANKLIN WOOD
Franklin came to Calvary as Associate Pastor in August of 2023 after serving several local churches. He has had various lay leadership opportunities as well as serving as a Minister of Education and as a Pastor. Franklin received his B.S. from Western Kentucky University and his MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Amy and they have two adult sons. Franklin has a deep desire to connect people to Christ and for them to know Him better through the study of His Word.
Children's Leader:
Danielle Wilson
Danielle has been a member since October of 2004. She has served in many aspects of the church and is now serving as the Children's Ministry Leader. Danielle oversees all programs from infancy to 5th grade. She is a believer that children are the future of the church. Loving on children and sharing the love of Christ are also passions of hers. In her spare time, she loves listening to audiobooks, playing pickleball, going bowling, and spending times with friends and family.

Karlo Paver
n September 2021, Karlo rejoined our staff as our Worship Minister. Previously he served on our staff as our Assistant Music Coordinator from August 2013 to April 2015 before moving to Iowa. Karlo graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Western Kentucky University with a master’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Karlo and his wife Holli were married in September 2018. They have three precious sons, Jeremiah, Ezra and Judah.
Student Ministry interim:
Michael wilson
In January 2025, Michael joined our staff as the Interim Student Minister. Michael initially became a member of Calvary Baptist Church through baptism in 2000. Upon retiring after 26+ years in the United States Air Force, Michael returned to Calvary Baptist Church and the Bowling Green area in July of 2012. Since his return, Michael has been actively serving as a Sunday school teacher. Michael graduated from University of Phoenix with a bachelor’s degree in Management and from Webster University with a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership. Michael and Heather were married in 2000 and have two beautiful children, Ellie and Reese. Michael has a deep desire to serve others as the Lord leads.
WORSHIP ASSOCIATE:
EMILY bRYANT
Emily has been a member since February of 2005. In September 2021, Emily came on staff as our Worship Associate. Since August 2019, she has served as one of our Mother’s Day Out teachers and previously served on our staff as Interim Worship Coordinator. In 2017, Emily moved to Kansas for an internship position in Worship and Children’s ministry. As of March of 2023, she has served as the admin for Southern Kentucky Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
